The New York State Handgun Firearm Safety Course – also known as the “Concealed Carry Permit Class” or the “Pistol Permit Course” is required to be completed before applying for the Erie, Niagara NYS Pistol Permit process. This class contains much more than the NRA class offered by many companies and individuals and is designed to give the student more than the minimum required. All classes are taught by a qualified firearms instructor.

Our NYS Pistol Permit class (Concealed Pistol Permit Class) is certified to apply for a New York State Pistol permit in many counties, for example, if you live in Niagara County you can take the class in Erie County. The permit that you will be issued is good in all of New York State except New York City.  The main topic of this course is SAFETY. Safe handling of a handgun in your home, on the range, in your vehicle and the general public.  Proper attitude, skill and knowledge are imperative when it comes to responsible gun ownership.
